Telford Twins and More group says it could lose its room at the HLC in Hadley because of cuts to children's centres by Telford & Wrekin Council.

The mothers who run the group say they are now in limbo as they search for a room that is big enough to accommodate all the families who use the service.

Sarah Thompson, who has six-year-old twins Francesca and Jack, is one of the parents who took over the running of the group in 2013. She says it offers a vital advice and support service to parents who have or are expecting twins.

Up until now, Telford Twins and More has been able to use rooms looked after by the Children's Centre at the HLC.

But with Telford & Wrekin Council looking to make £30 million of cuts over the next two years, the group has been warned the room may no longer be available to them.

Mrs Thompson said: "The staff at the children's centre have been incredibly kind but it could be in a week or so we get a call saying the room is no longer available. And this group can't close because it offers support to so many people.

"We've been looking at some venues but at the moment they're still too much for us."
