Pictures: 'Very lucky escape' as car overturns on road near Market Drayton

A driver and two children had a "very lucky" escape after their car overturned near Market Drayton.

Fire and ambulance crews were called to Hodnet to find the silver car on its side in the middle of the road.

But amazingly the occupants suffered no injuries after being checked over by paramedics at the scene just after 11am on Saturday morning.

Police said they had seatbelts and airbags to thank.

A spokesman for Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service said: "We received a call reporting a road traffic collision had taken place in Hodnet.

"It involved one saloon car. There were no persons trapped, and three persons treated by ambulance at the scene.

"The vehicle was made safe by fire service personnel."
