Lee Cooper, 22, appeared at Shrewsbury Crown Court today.

It comes after police officers were called to Kent Close, Whitchurch, at about 8.10pm on November 21, to reports of a 16-year-old boy who had been stabbed.

The teenager was treated at Royal Stoke University Hospital and received internal and external stitches before being discharged.

A trial is due to take place next month.

Cooper, of Wallace Road, Bilston, West Midlands, was granted bail.

He appeared at Telford Magistrates' Court in November, where he appeared only to say his name and address.

He was charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon, namely a knife. He denies both.
