The most recent incident happened on Tuesday when a 16-year-old girl was approached by a man walking along the footpath near Severn Hospice, just off Whitchurch Drive.

As the girl got closer to the man he exposed himself.

The offender matched the description of a man police have already appealed to speak to in connection with three similar incidents at the end of last year.

He is described as white, between 5ft 6ins and 5ft 9ins tall, aged in his twenties or thirties with short mousy brown hair. He was wearing either a grey sweatshirt or black puffa-type jacket and black trousers, either combat style or baggy jeans.

Constable Laura Hutson, of West Mercia Police said: "We are very keen to hear from anyone who can help us with this investigation and locate this man before there are any further incidents.

"We cannot say that the offences were definitely committed by the same person, but the descriptions given by victims and witnesses are all very similar and the offences were committed on, or just off, Whitchurch Drive in Wellington.

"We hope that someone living or working in the area, either in the Apley Castle, Whitchurch Road or Coney Green Way areas may recognise the person from the information given and get in touch.

"We would also like to reassure people that police are conducting extra patrols in the area in an attempt to locate the offender as quickly as possible."

On November 24 last year a man exposed himself to a 17-year-old girl who was walking along a footpath near to the Princess Royal Hospital and Whitchurch Drive.

The man approached the girl from behind and as he walked past her he exposed himself.

On December 9, a 19-year-old woman was walking near Tesco on Wrekin Retail Park and saw a man standing on the path ahead of her.

As she walked closer the man turned to face her and she saw that he was exposing himself.

The next incident was on December 17 when two 14-year-old girls were walking on a footpath near the Furrows Garage on Whitchurch Drive, when a man walking towards them pulled his trousers down. The man walked away after exposing himself.

Anyone with information is asked to contact West Mercia Police on 101. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or at crimestoppers-uk.org

Meanwhile, a driver exposed himself while behind the wheel in Ironbridge. The man was driving a white car in Madeley Road at the time.

He is described as a white male, 25 to 30 years old, with short, dark hair and a patchy beard.

The man is of slim build with a round face and was wearing a white T-shirt with a round neck and dark trousers.
