Lost Boat RescueWhen a community boat in Shrewsbury was swept away in December the residents thought they'd never see it again. It turned up over 6 weeks later 20 miles down stream. Determined to recover it they set out with ropes and a whole lot of muscle and pulled it to shore.

The boat, which belongs to Mike Drage, of Shrewsbury, went adrift in December after the mooring rope broke while the waters were high.

It was carried away by the strong current from the 53-year-old's home in Longden Coleham – and eventually found stuck upside-down in a tree in Ironbridge.

At the weekend the boat was finally dragged free, the rescue captured on video and posted on BBC Radio Shropshire's Facebook page.
