The latest meeting of the Broseley RBL earlier this month saw 13 new members turn up.

Before Christmas the branch warned it might have to fold because of a lack of interest and falling membership.

Secretary Williams Seabury said: "Things looked very bleak before Christmas but now I think the branch is going to survive.

"There was great discussion at the meeting as to how we can broaden our appeal to younger people with more social events and fund raising.

"We have also had an offer from someone to stand as treasurer and another person has offered to help out with secretarial duties.

"People now realise that the branch has something to offer and the meeting showed there is great potential for the continued existence of the RBL branch in Broseley."

Due to the support shown it was decided to hold a meeting on February 10 at Broseley Social Club to further discuss the way ahead. The meeting will start at 8pm.

The Broseley RBL also benefitted from a quiz held recently at the social club social club, which raised £320 and all the money was donated to the branch.
