Outline planning permission has already been granted to build 25 two-storey homes on agricultural land in Ford.

Now plans detailing the design of the houses, on land to the north of the A458, which will be both detached, semi-detached and terraced along with garages, have been submitted to the council.

In a design statement, Shropshire Homes state that the homes will blend in with the local area and will reflect the surrounding houses.

In the report Andrew Marsden from Shropshire Homes said: "The proposed development seeks Reserved Matters application permission to build 25 two-storey homes and associated garages. The houses will be detached, semi-detached and terraced.

"They have a cottage feel and are based on a Shropshire vernacular.

"The site is situated within Ford's conservation area. The new site is a natural infill site between the main body of houses in Ford to the north and east and the A458.

"The reserved matters application provides a natural extension to Ford in a sustainable location with a style and layout of houses which fit comfortably in the conservation status of the site."

Currently the site is used for agricultural purposes and it is hoped that the development will create new habitats for a number of wildlife species.

A decision on the matter will be made at a date to be arranged.
