The handwritten notes were left at business on the town's High Street during December.

The owner of business, which police have not named, became concerned after finding the notes when he opened up.

He contacted the police, and officers studied the CCTV where they managed to identify the man leaving the notes.

Pc Matt Picken of West Mercia Police said: "The owner of the business was becoming more and more concerned about these notes being left at his premises during December.

"We managed to find CCTV, which had the business in sight, and our confidential panel then spent 12 hours studying the footage each night in the hopes of catching the man.

"From that we were able to identify the man and he was spoken to by ourselves.

"This was a result for us as an act of anti social behaviour was stopped."

To report a crime call West Mercia Police on 101. Alternatively, if people do not feel comfortable speaking directly to the police contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
