Shropshire Star Toy Appeal: Collections to bring festive joy

Donations continue to pour in as our Christmas toy appeal enters its fourth week.

The appeal, which is being run by the Shropshire Star and our partners at Storage King, has been set up to bring a little festive joy to children who might otherwise not have much to celebrate this Christmas.

We are asking people to bring in brand new toys, games, DVDs and children's books to our six collection points across the county. These will then be shared out between Hope House Children's Hospice, The Harry Johnson Trust, Climbing Out, Parents Opening Doors, Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals Trust, and children's services at both Telford & Wrekin and Shropshire Councils.

People can drop off toys at the Shropshire Star's head office at Ketley Business Park, Waterloo Road, Telford, and at our offices in Salop Road, Oswestry, and Bellstone, Shrewsbury. There are also collection points at the Storage King headquarters in Archers Way, Battlefield Enterprise Park, Shrewsbury, at Toys R Us at Meole Brace Retail Park, Shrewsbury, and on the first-floor of Southwater One in Telford town centre.
