Power tools stolen in Shropshire raids

Power tools have been stolen after two outhouses were broken into at homes in south Shropshire.

The burglaries are thought to have taken place on successive nights this week in rural locations near Church Stretton and Ludlow.

The first was in the hamlet of Harton, between 8pm on Tuesday and 6pm Wednesday. A padlock was forced from the door of a garden shed and thieves made off with a large number of power tools including a wacker plate, jet washer, hedge trimmer and garden vacuum blower.

The second happened between noon on Wednesday and 2pm Thursday, at Farnden, near Bitterley.

The offenders forced a window open on a detached garage to get inside and took two chainsaws and a strimmer. Anyone with any information should call 101.

Anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious, or has information, as asked to call West Mercia Police on 101 quoting reference 161s of November 19 for the Harton burglary and 359s of November 19 for the Farnden theft.
