Motorist drives car at man in Telford row

A motorist drove his car at another man after a dispute and a chase on foot through Telford's streets.

Police today appealed for more information following the incident in Walker Street, Wellington, on Wednesday September 30.

A police spokesman said: "At 5.30pm, there was a dispute between two men on Walker Street.

"One of the men ran towards Bridge Road, and the other man followed him, but gave up the chase halfway down the road.

"Around five minutes later the first man was stood on the bridge opposite Aldi when the other man drove a silver-coloured car at him, making light contact with his ankles. The driver then proceeded to chase him on foot, in the direction of Aldi."

The men were both white and in their twenties.

No one was injured during the incident.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact police quoting incident number 528 of September 30.
