You won't believe your eyes! Master thrower Matt's 'easy skills' gain him internet fame

It started as bit of laugh but became an obsession – and now Matthew Fleet has become something of an internet sensation.

After finding out by chance he had the unique ability of being able to throw and fire objects into small spaces and targets he began posting his feats online.

The 24-year-old received such a good reception to his videos he set up his own 'Easy Skills' Facebook page where he asks followers to set him harder challenges.

The trick that started it all was throwing a foam arrow half the length of a football pitch directly into a bin. Since then he has thrown paper darts, ping pong balls and other objects into targets that are often behind his back.

Matthew, from Chirk, said: "It all started about six months ago when I posted a video of me performing a trick and it just grew from there. One of my mates asked if I could hit a target and since then my friends have helped me develop new tasks.

"I thought nothing of it but I got a huge response online and I was encouraged by a few people to set up my own page. I don't always get them in first time but it doesn't take long with practice.

"A few of my friends have suggested some of the challenges and I'm always looking for new ideas."

Matthew, of Maes Y Waun, is a care worker by day and often performs his tricks for the residents he helps to look after. He hopes one day to get sponsorship by attracting more people to his Facebook page.

Matthew has already uploaded several impressive videos that show him pulling off a variety of tricks, such as bouncing ping pong balls off numerous saucepans and into a cup. Matthew said His favourite trick is launching foam arrows with a bow out of his mouth and hitting various targets.

"I just do it in my spare time but everyone in the area recognises me as the person who performs tricks online," he said.

"Lots of people have been sharing and commenting on my Facebook page.

"It's only been up for three weeks and already more than 700 people have signed up to follow me.

"They also give new ideas. My first video was viewed 40 times and people started asking me to upload more.

"Everyone in Chirk seems to know me from my Facebook page now and the videos seem to be well received in the community."

"The furthest target I've hit so far was over half the length of a football pitch away but I want to go even further," he said.

"The more likes I get on my Facebook page the bigger and more advanced my challenges can get.

"You can get sponsorship too, where manufacturers send you their equipment to use for the tricks.
