The attack happened on land behind Wombridge Way in Telford at about 6.50am on Wednesday.

It is believed that two Staffordshire Bull Terriers, which were not on a lead, attacked a beige Cocker Spaniel puppy.

The puppy was very shaken, but luckily did not have any injuries due to its owner intervening, which led to him receiving an injury to his hand.

One of the Staffordshire Bull Terriers was black and white in colour, and the other was grey.

The dogs were accompanied by two men who were said to both be white, aged in their late 40s, around 5ft 9 inches tall, with short light brown hair. Both men were thought to be wearing dark blue zip-up sports jackets with a red emblem of TT races, and wearing blue jeans.
