The cause of the early hours blaze at The Swan in Waters Upton, near Telford, has been revealed by Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service following an investigation.

It took about 30 firefighters four hours to put the fire out after it started shortly before 1am on September 18.

The pub, which lies next to the A442, was attacked by arsonists in August but it is not clear whether the two fires are linked.

Anyone who has any information is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
