Letter: Politicians to blame over immigration

We are constantly informed that Great Britain has not signed up to the EU's dangerous and farcical Schengen Agreement, the open borders policy which gives the 500 million EU members the unrestricted right to move in with us.

There are no criminal, mental or medical checks and no restriction on the number of family members.

Perhaps our 626 MPs, our 900 plus Peers of the Realm and our 86 MEPs, all of whom have been generously rewarded for their compliance, would like to explain today's headlines to the population of this island i.e. "number of foreigners in the UK passes eight million".

We are a tiny island with finite space, little spare housing, lacking capacity in hospitals, schools and surgeries, our rail services cannot cope and our roads are now crowded and dangerous.

Mass immigration has reduced wages and made a nonsense of our minimum wage system.

We are trillions in debt but still pay over £50 million to Brussels every single day to an obviously failed, flawed and fraudulent European Union. Our 40 plus year membership of this Union has been a disaster for GB. We have been sucked in, chewed up and spat out on a thousand different issues – our useless, incompetent politicians are to blame – when will they be arrested and charged?
