The Grinshill Animal Rescue Centre Dog Show will see hundreds of dogs at its event this weekend with classes judging the pets in a range of categories.

Jenny Martinez, who runs the centre, said: "It is a really great day out if you have a dog, but even if you don't it is a lot of fun and there is a car boot sale as well. There will be a tombola, a raffle, a barbecue and homemade cakes and sandwiches as well.

"I would say we usually see about 400 or 500 people at the event."

The event this year includes more than 20 classes.

The event will run on Shawbury Playing Fields on Sunday with entries taken from 10am for £1 per class.

Judging will start at noon after a display from the Whitchurch Dog Display Team.

The car boot sale will be held throughout the day with a cost of £5 per car.
