Broseley site is snapped up for housing

Worcester-based Lioncourt Homes has sealed a deal to buy the development site, off Coalport Road in Broseley, from Oldham-based property developer Grasscourt Homes.

The site is earmarked for 27 homes, including a mix of three and four-bedroom properties, some of which are detached and some of which are semi-detached.

Work has already begun on the homes, with the first properties expected to be marketed early in 2016.

Housebuilders are continuing to benefit from the revival of the housing market, and the new development in Broseley is one of a number that are being worked on in Shropshire at present.

This week has already seen plans approved for 1,100 new homes to be built to the east of Castle Farm Way in Priorslee in Telford, with work beginning in 2017 and due for completion in 2030.

The new estate, which was granted outline planning permission at a meeting at Telford's Whitehouse Hotel, would include a school, retirement village and doctor's surgery.
