Shrewsbury MP Daniel Kawczynski spent five days in Poland, where he was born, taking his daughter to Warsaw for the first time.

He said: "I will be spending the rest of the time in Shrewsbury until September 7 when Parliament is back after recess.

"I will be meeting with local organisations, Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and the council, as well as many other important contributors to Shrewsbury society."

Telford MP Lucy Allan said she and her family would be taking a break in Sicily.

"My husband and my son are members of Wrekin Golf Club, so they will be mostly playing golf," she said. "I will try to use it to catch up on some reading."

Wrekin MP Mark Pritchard will be going on a multi-activity holiday in France.

"I will be cycling, hiking, kayaking and trying to improve my French," he said.

Ludlow MP Philip Dunne is also indulging in a spot of cycling during his holiday in Germany this week.

"I'm spending this week cycling along the banks of the River Rhine," he said. "I'm spending a week on the Rhine with friends, and I will be spending a week in Scotland."

Montgomeryshire MP Glyn Davies has decided to spend time in his constituency.

"It's as good a place as I will ever go to, so why would I want to go anywhere else?" he said. "There's so many events on in Montgomeryshire over the summer, there's two or three events on every week, so it's like one long holiday."

North Shropshire MP Owen Paterson will also spend much of the summer in Shropshire.
