Officers from the British Transport Police are appealing for help over the theft on Friday, June 26, between 12.10pm and 12.40pm.

PC Gemma Middleton said: "At around midday, a man approached the cycle racks and began examining a BMX which was locked up.

She said: "He left the area before returning with a woman 40 minutes later. He then removed the lock from the cycle and stole it, while the woman acted as lookout."

Officers have viewed CCTV from the station and are now issuing images of a man and a woman who they think can help with their investigation.

PC Middleton added: "We work hard with our partners in the rail industry to prevent theft on the network, but unfortunately bicycles remain a popular target for thieves.

"I think the people in the images have information about what happened. Please tell us who they are."
