Woman pulled from mud in Shrewsbury brook rescue

A woman was rescued by firefighters after getting stuck up to her knees in mud in a brook in Shrewsbury.

The woman, in her 30s, fell in the brook at the rear of Uplands Drive in Reabrook, Shrewsbury, shortly after 7pm yesterday.

In total five fire crews attended, including a water rescue unit.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed it had rescued the woman from the mud using a ladder and that she had been taken to hospital as a precaution.
