Three charged after serious Telford pub assault

Police have charged two men and a woman following a serious assault in a Telford pub.

John Price, aged 24 and Andrew Price, aged 53, both of Donnington Wood, Telford have been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent.

Dorothy Riley, aged 46, also of Donnington Wood, Telford has been charged with assisting an offender.

They have all been remanded in custody to appear at Shrewsbury Magistrates Court today.

The charges are in connection with an incident which happened at around 7.40pm on Saturday, July 25 at the Rose and Crown on Sunnyside Road, Ketley Bank.

A verbal altercation occurred between the victim, a 48-year-old man, and three people, which resulted in the victim being physically assaulted. The offenders then made off from the scene.

The victim sustained a serious head injury and was taken to North Staffordshire Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
