Two women treated by paramedics after car crashes into Telford tree

Two women were trapped this afternoon after a car crashed into a tree in Telford.

The crash happened at 2.51pm this afternoon and the fire service as well as police and land ambulance were on scene.

The fire service say the crash involved one car which had come off the road at Lawley Common roundabout and that two women were trapped.

The fire service had to use saws and cutting equipment to get to the car, but added the women had freed themselves from the vehicle itself when crews got through.

The two women were treated by ambulance crews on scene.
