Man suffers head injury in Shrewsbury crash

A man suffered a head injury in a crash on the outskirts of Shrewsbury.

The accident happened when a car left the road on the A488 at Edgebold shortly after 2pm yesterday.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: "One ambulance crew attended the scene where they took one woman for precautionary checks and a man with a minor head injury to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital."

Three fire crews from Wellington and Shrewsbury were also sent to the scene at 2.06pm and left at 2.26pm.

Earlier, two motorcyclists were injured in a collision on the Stourbridge Road in Bridgnorth at about 11.30am.

One rider suffered minor injuries and the other sustained a leg injury.
