The girls have now been found safe and well in Coventry, but went missing from Dorrington, between Church Stretton and Shrewsbury, on Sunday.

Abbey Hartley, of West Mercia Police, said: "Police are eager to establish the circumstances of their disappearance and wish to speak to the good Samaritan who gave the girls a lift from the A49 in Dorrington at around 7.30pm.

"They were then believed to be dropped off in the Shrewsbury area before travelling into the West Midlands."

The girls were found today.

Police are asking the driver, or anyone else with information to contact them on 101, quoting incident 603S of Sunday, June 28.
