The restaurant on the Forge Retail Park, which first opened 17 years ago, has been given a makeover and now features self-service kiosks, digital menu boards and tablet computers.

Business Manager Dave Mateer said: "Staying ahead of customer expectations is vital and the new technology we've introduced in this restaurant recognises the way people live their lives today.

"It's not just about providing a fresh, new environment though.

"With excellent training programmes and career opportunities, including the apprenticeship scheme on offer to all of McDonald's employees, I hope the roles will appeal to a broad spectrum of people across Shropshire."

Mr Mateer said employees at the restaurant would benefit from improved kitchen facilities and a new 'crew room' with seating, a television and a computer.
