Police appeal for witnesses after Telford motorbike crash

Police want witnesses to a motorbike crash in Telford which saw a man and a teenager taken to hospital with serious injuries to come forward.

The incident happened on Sunday at about 10.50pm on Silkin Way footpath in Aqueduct, when a motorcycle collided with a lamp post.

The rider, a 25-year-old man, sustained serious injuries and was taken to North Staffordshire Hospital. A 13-year-old girl was also on the motorcycle and was taken to Princess Royal Hospital with a serious hand injury.

There is not believed to be another vehicle involved.

Police are eager to establish the circumstances of the collision and ask anyone with information to call 101 quoting incident 720S of Sunday, May 24.
