14-year-old girl grabbed by man in Telford

A 14-year-old girl was attacked by a man in Telford, after he tried to start a conversation with her.

The incident happened on the Black Ash Mount in Woodside Avenue, in Woodside, where the girl was approached by an unknown man who tried to engage in conversation with her.

The man then leaned towards her and she pushed him away. As she pushed him, the man grabbed the girl by the wrist.

The girl managed to pull away from him and run off.

The man is described as white, in his aged early 30s, 6ft tall or more and quite slim, with dark spiky hair.

He was wearing a grey hooded top, which was zipped over his mouth, grey jogging bottoms and Nike trainers.

The incident occurred between 7pm and 9pm on Tuesday.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any further information regarding a man fitting this description, is asked to dial 101 and request to speak to PC 690 Nikki Burkitt at Malinsgate Police Station.
