Heidi Browne, of Market Drayton, launched her third album White Rabbits at a concert in the town earlier this week.

It comes just before she embarks on a whistle-stop tour of Germany, Belgium, Denmark and the Netherlands with Canadian singer-songwriter David Blair.

Heidi , 29, saw off more than 9,000 artists to be crowned overall champion of the Open Mic UK contest in 2014.

And she has even gone on to have her music aired on Radio One and Six Music.

The album, including new single Colouring Outside The Lines, was launched in her home town on Tuesday at the Festival Drayton Centre in Frogmore Road.

Heidi said she was looking forward to meeting her international fans.

She said: "It feels amazing to launch the album. It is really exciting and I am also pleased to announce that I will be on the road now for a whole month touring Germany alongside fellow wanderlust-afflicted singer-songwriter David Blair, the Canadian of Berlin.

"I am looking forward to brushing up on my German and meeting some lovely international fans.

"David Blair is known for his infectious laugh and communicative audience-side manner. Having won best Male Album of the year in 2007, David's music is worth adding to your collection. If you're in Germany and you get to see him play live, even better."

Heidi wowed judges and a crowd of hundreds of people at the NEC in Birmingham last year by performing her own song called Girlfriend.

She was crowned overall winner in the United Kingdom Open Mic contest.

The competition searches for the UK's best singers, singer-songwriters, rappers and vocalists of all genres who perform either covers or original material.

Heidi was named the winner of the 21 and over category on the night of the final and then found out via Twitter a few days later she had been named the overall competition winner.

The talented singer was given a music management deal worth £5,000 with Future Music, which has secured the release of her new album.

The summer festival season will see Heidi also tour with female singer-songwriter Theo Gilmore and perform on her own at concerts throughout the UK.

Robyn Edwards, assistant manager of Festival Drayton Centre, said: "'Both David and Heidi were amazing.

"Heidi totally transfixed the audience with her beautiful singing voice. A fantastic night was had by all.

"Market Drayton should be very proud of Heidi, she is a very talented gem."
