The Bus Types VW Show, held at Oswestry Showground, saw enthusiasts from across the county come together to show off their vehicles.

The three-day event featured displays, a trade and auto jumble sale and live entertainment in the evenings.

An event spokesman said: "It went really well, the event was a really good one. We haven't counted up the numbers yet but these shows always see thousands of people and we had a lot here.

"We had people coming to buy parts, people coming to show their vans and all sorts.

"We get mainly enthusiasts who want to come and bring their van to this kind of event and we had more that 180 trade stalls as well. They sold parts, memorabilia and all sorts of VW things.

"But people don't have to have the vans to come, a lot of people like to look around them. We do get quite a lot of rare models here and people who spend a lot of time on their vans.

"Another part of the event is the entertainment – people camp overnight quite a lot of the time so we have entertainment in the evening and live bands for people to enjoy."

The event also saw trophies awarded, a fancy dress party, a fun fair and children's entertainment.
