Telford man denies stealing Audi car

A man has denied taking an Audi Quattro which crashed moments later, causing £6,500 damage.

Liam Thomas Riggs, 21, of Chirbury, Stirchley, Telford, pleaded not guilty to one charge of taking a vehicle without consent when he appeared at Telford Magistrates Court.

Mr Mike Phillips, prosecuting, said the car had been taken from a driveway in Stirchley and driven a short distance at speed before the driver lost control and crashed it into a fence on Stirchley Lane on January 25, 2015.
