The trailer became detached from the vehicle pulling it as it left Kerry Ingredients & Flavours on Boraston Lane, Burford, near Tenbury Wells, at about noon.

The A456 at Burford is currently blocked while emergency services deal with the accident.

Chloe Drinkwater, speaking for West Mercia Police said: "The trailer was full of syrups. The road is completely blocked but there has been no spillage on the road. A crane will be required to lift the trailer. The company are arranging for recovery."

Two fire crews from Ludlow were called to the scene.

A spokesman for Shropshire Fire and Rescue said: "It somehow tipped onto one side and we are assisting at the scene. Nobody was trapped, the driver is there at the scene and trying to get the unit moved."

A road block has been put in place at the junction of the A456 with the A49 at Wooffteron.
