Shropshire man denies rapes and sex assaults

A Shropshire man denied four sexual offences when he appeared at crown court.

Howard Long, 31, pleaded not guilty to two charges of rape and two allegations of sexual assault said to have happened on January 1 this year.

At Shrewsbury Crown Court yesterday the case was adjourned until July 20 for trial.

Long, of Melverley, near Oswestry, was remanded in custody.
