Man, 19, suffers 'life-changing' injuries as car overturns in Ironbridge crash

A man has been left with "life-changing" injuries after a car overturned in the early hours of this morning in Ironbridge.

The 19-year-old was taken to hospital in Stoke with serious injuries after the car he was a passenger in rolled on Jiggers Bank at about 2.20am.

Two other people in the Vauxhall Corsa which was travelling in the direction of Coalbrookdale and Ironbridge were not injured, police have said.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the crash to contact 101 quoting incident number 31 of March 27.

The road was closed in both directions between the School Road junction and Jiggers Roundabout while recovery work took place and was reopened by about 8am.
