Bike stolen in daytime raid on Shropshire farm building

More than £5,000 worth of bikes and a chainsaw were stolen from a farm building during a daytime raid.

Eight bikes were among the haul of items taken from an outbuilding in the Stanton upon Hine Heath area, according to police.

Constable Mick Sturland, of West Mercia Police's Market Drayton safer neighbourhood team, said a Stihl chainsaw was also taken.

He said: "The bicycles included a white and green Giant 'Anthem', a black and blue Giant 'Trance' mountain bike, a silver lady's Boardman road bike, a black man's Boardman road bike, a grey, green and white 729 mountain bike, a red and white Secteur road bike, a gold and brown Genisis 'Zero' mountain bike, and a black and yellow Scott 'Scale' mountain bike."

The break-in took place between 8.15am and 6pm on March 17. Contact West Mercia Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
