Firefighters were sent to Studio 72 in Moat Street, Bridgnorth.

Fire crews from Bridgnorth and Much Wenlock were on the scene for an hour from 1pm.

Andy Bevon, crew manager at Bridgnorth, said no one was hurt and staff had been alerted to the fire by a smoking alarm.

He said: "The fire was caused by faulty electrics. We used a hose reel and dry powder fire extinguisher to put the fire out.

"The room was then ventilated to clear all the smoke.

"The six people were already out when we were arrived and again the value of a working smoke alarm has been highlighted in this instance.

"There was some minor damage but no one was injured."
