Man robbed and hit with a wrench in Telford

A man was robbed by two men armed with a wrench in the Dawley area of Telford.

The incident happened on the monring of January 25 when the victim, a 27-year-old man, was walking along Lancaster Avenue towards Lancaster Place when he was approached from behind by two men.

They then physically assaulted him with a wrench before stealing a small amount of cash.

The victim sustained minor injuries during the incident.

A police spokesman said: "The first offender is described as white, of a stocky build, around six foot tall and in his 30s. He was wearing a white T-shirt and jogging bottoms. The second offender is also white, in his 30s and around six foot tall."

Police are eager to hear from anyone with information and ask witnesses to call 101, quoting incident 204S of Sunday 25 January.
