The charge follows an incident near Telford in the early hours of January 1 this year.

Alex Willetts-Perrins also pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen of blood to police officers on the same date.

Shrewsbury Crown Court heard yesterday that the incident happened on the B5062 road near to Crudgington, between Newport and Shrewsbury.

Recorder Nicholas Cartwright adjourned sentence for reports until March 23.

He imposed an interim driving ban on 24-year-old Willetts-Perrins.

Willetts-Perrins, of Maseland Crescent, Tibberton, was allowed bail with conditions of a 7pm to 7am curfew and a ban from sitting in the front seats of any vehicle.
