Trees and garage damaged in Telford arson attack

A row of conifer trees have were burned down and a garage damaged in an arson attack in Telford today.

Fire crews were called to tackle a blaze which involved 10 meters of conifer trees at 3.34pm today.

The fire in Wade Road, Wrockwardine Wood, also affected a garage, which was near to the bush.

Crews from Telford Central and Wellington were sent to the tackle the blaze using breathing apparatus and a hosereel jet. The fire investigation officer also attended to loking into the cause of the fire.

No one was injured in the fire.

A spokeswoman for Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service said the fire was "most likely" arson and that police have been informed.
