Mother tells of her relief as missing Shropshire teenager is found

The mother of teenager Bonnie Rose Clarke has spoken of her relief that her missing daughter has been found safe and well in Birmingham.

Bonnie, who is from Bishop's Castle, was found at Birmingham New Street Station at around 4pm on Wednesday afternoon by West Midlands Police, 10 days – to the hour – after she went missing while out on a day trip in the city.

The 15-year-old, who is also known as Keisha Jones, went missing at about 3.20pm on February15 from the National Sea Life Centre in Brindley Place, Birmingham, and was last seen on CCTV on her own at New Street Station, which she entered and then left, without catching a train.

But as Bonnie has ties to multiple places in England and Wales, her disappearance sparked a national search as police thought she may have returned to the station later.

Her mother said it was a huge weight off her mind, but she had not yet spoken to Bonnie directly.

She said: "She's safe and well. I'm definitely relieved, and I'm waiting for a phone call off her.

"She's back in Bishop's Castle now, I've been informed she's fine.

"I don't know what she's been doing while she's been missing, but she's been in Birmingham all this time."
