Emergency crews were called to the B4371 at Soudley, near Church Stretton after the car left the road and rolled onto its roof at about 10.30am.

West Mercia Police spokeswoman Sarah-Jane Lynch said the car, a silver Vauxhall Corsa, had overturned after leaving the road and landed next to a stream.

"The caller ringing was trapped in the car," she said.

"Luckily nobody was injured, which is amazing, really."

Fire crews from Church Stretton, Craven Arms and Wellington used cutters, small gear and an extension ladder to free the passengers and make the vehicle safe.

West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman Jamie Arrowsmith said the two people were checked over at the scene but not taken to hospital.
