Man demanding police lift to Wales arrested

A man was arrested by police after demanding they take him to Wales.

The man, arrested in Oswestry, had been swearing and attempting to attack police officers because they would not take him to North Wales in the early hours of Saturday.

As a result he was arrested and taken to Shrewsbury.

Meanwhile, another man was arrested for smashing the window of a front door in Oswestry, while drunk and frightening the elderly occupants at around 3.30am yesterday.
