The bird decided to leave the waters and began causing disruption near the M54 and along the A5.

Police were called to try and deal with the bird after it was first seen near junction seven of the M54 this morning at 8.15am.

It then began heading for Shrewsbury along the A5 at 8.45am, before police and the RSPCA began to move in when it was seen on the A5 at Wrockwardine and Norton.

The swan's reign of chaos was finally ended when it was caught at 9.37am.
