Thieves broke into the house in Ashley Heath, near Market Drayton, and stole a silver Bulova watch, silver Rotary watch with a matching silver strap and a 14 carat gold ring.

They also took a large gold ring with a large emerald surrounded with diamonds, an 18 carat gold ring with a large oval shaped ruby surrounded by pointed diamonds and a silver and pearl necklace.

The jewellery was mostly bought from the US and Virgin Islands and bears the 14 carat gold hallmark, which is unusual in the UK.

It is believed the raid took place sometime between November 8 and 22.
