Man bailed in Telford pub attack probe

A man who was being quizzed by police over an assault at a Telford pub has been granted police bail.

The attack took place at the Crown Inn Pub in Dawley just after 8pm on Saturday evening when the victim was punched in the face.

A 46-year-old man from Telford was arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent. He has been bailed until December 8.

Detective Constable Shirley, from Telford Police, said: "We urge anyone who may have seen the incident and has not yet come forward to police to get in contact."
