The driver of the red pick-up truck lost control as it travelled on the A411 near Kington, on the county border, and careered off the road at 4.10am yesterday. The impact ripped the cab from the chassis with the men, all in their 20s, inside.

They were treated at the scene for chest, leg and abdominal injuries, with one witness saying it was a "miracle" they survived.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "Thankfully, all four men were wearing seatbelts at the time."
