Shrewsbury man admits three attempted burglaries

A man has appeared in court charged with attempting to burgle three businesses in Shrewsbury Market Hall.

Robert Ligus appeared via video link at Shrewsbury Crown Court yesterday to admit three counts.

The 35-year-old pleaded guilty to attempting to burgle Café AleOli, The Icing Tip and L & E Designs on July 21.

Judge Peter Barrie adjourned the case for a pre-sentence report.

Ligus, of Avondale Drive, Castlefields, Shrewsbury, was remanded in custody and will be sentenced on October 20.
