The body of Davinia Loynton, aged 59, was discovered in the property on St John Street in the Wellington area of the town on Monday.

Davinia's family has released a tribute saying: "'Our Dink' was a much loved and valued member of our family and we are all struggling to cope not only with her loss but with the dreadful circumstances of her death. She lived her life quietly and peacefully and to discover that she lost her life in such a way has been utterly devastating for us.

"Dink was independent and hard-working, one of life's givers rather than a taker. For many years she looked after our elderly mother without fuss, meeting all mum's needs without asking for any help or assistance. She was completely loyal to her family, friends and employers. We knew that if we needed help we could rely on Dink being there for us and she never expected or wanted anything in return. We have all been on the receiving end of her generosity and all have struggled to find some way of persuading her to allow us to help her in return.

"Her loss has left a huge hole in our lives and we have to learn to live with that because it will not go away. We would like to express our thanks to the police for their help and support at this difficult time."

Davinia worked at Serchem Ltd in Telford for almost 30 years. Paul Arnold, Sales Director at Serchem, issued a tribute on behalf of all her colleagues: "Serchem would like to express our sincerest condolences to the family of Davinia Loynton.

"She was a much loved and valued member of our team who undertook her duties with true professionalism and vigour. She was a very giving and generous person who would always offer her opinion in all business matters she undertook, which were always focussed and level headed.

"Davinia has left a very big void in all staff members' hearts with such terrible events taking place and her position at Serchem being all but impossible to fill with somebody as capable as she.

"God speed from all your friends at Serchem who feel the loss of someone so special."

Yesterday Kevin Hyden, 34, of Glebe Street, was charged with her murder and will appear at Stafford Crown Court on Monday.

A 35-year-old-man, a 21-year-old man, a 21-year-old woman, a 50-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman, all arrested on suspicion of murder, have been released on police bail pending further investigations.

A 77-year-old man from Telford, who was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of assisting an offender and attempting to pervert the course of justice, has also been released on police bail.

Anyone with information relating to the death should contact police on 101, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
