The A5 at Preston Boats Island will be closed from today until September 29 between 7pm and 7am. The closures are part of a £3.8 million scheme of works to improve road layouts, signals and traffic flow.

Meanwhile, the Mile End roundabout on the A5 on the outskirts of Oswestry will be closed from Thursday until Saturday between 7pm and 6am. The work is part of a £4 million scheme to improve the roundabout on the edge of Oswestry.

Diversion routes in both areas will be clearly signposted, according to the Highways Agency.
