Business as usual at fire-hit Shewsbury pub

It's business as usual for an historic Shrewsbury pub after a tumble drier caught fire.

Regulars were still welcome at the Coach and Horses in Swan Hill while a clean up took place.

The three-storey building was only affected by smoke damage to the first floor.

Four fire fighters from Shrewsbury wearing breathing apparatus took half an hour to put the flames out after the alarm was raised at 2pm on Tuesday.

The bar was open again within hours and business has returned to normal.
