But their spat was all in the name of fun, just one of the many attractions at the 120th event.

The show was held at Lymore Meadow, with organisers saying it was the biggest and best the village has ever held.

The dry sunny weather helped the event go with a bang on Saturday.

Attractions at the show included a dog show, children's sports, falconry display and circus skills workshops.

The show was also celebrating 55 years since the Mini came into production and there was a large amount of the historic British cars lined up for people to look around.

Another show highlight was the annual potato in a bucket competition. Ruth Witherington, show spokeswoman, said: "It was an absolutely brilliant show and there were just hundreds of people in attendance, all enjoying the beautiful weather and the attractions that were on display during the day.

"There was something for all the family as usual and the streets were packed before everybody headed down to Lymore Meadow.

"The show was brilliant, better than ever. Everything went really well and pretty much all the things we had here proved to be very popular.

"The food tent was brilliant as well as a jousting horse game."
